I eavesdropped on a conversation and wrote my assumptions about the people based on what I heard then turn around to see if I was right…
I am sitting at brunch and I hear a group of people sit down in the booth behind me. Once they start talking it sounds like they are around the same age as me (20.) Their conversation starts out with how hungover they are from last night, so I automatically assume they are fraternity boys from SMU. As they continue to talk I am trying not to laugh as they tell their hook up stories to each other. They must think they are really smooth because they are bragging for a good 20 minutes about the girls they talked to and went home with. I really wanted to stand up and tell them that they are pigs, but I refrained. At this point I was trying to figure out what fraternity they are apart of, if any. Soon enough they start talking about an upcoming theme party, and as soon as they do that I become sure that they are Fijis. As the conversation goes back and forth from booze to boobs I am fairly certain my assumption was right. My friend and I pay our bills and I stand up to leave and get a look at them. I was spot on. Both boys are sporting Fiji t-shirts, wearing their sunglasses (inside the restaurant, really? You’re not that cool,) and drinking mimosas. I was happy that my assumption was correct, but I kind of wish someone a little more challenging and less douchey would have sat down behind me.
